Site Fire Training

Aim
To ensure that Employers meet their legal obligation under the Fire Regulatory Reform Order to provide staff with Fire Action training.

Objectives
On completion to enable students to -
 1. Recognise and understand the hazards posed by small fires.
 2. Implement the correct emergency procedures.
 3. Select the appropriate fire extinguisher and operate it effectively.

Course Content
 1. Introduction
 2. Video presentation.
 3. Lecture Subjects
   a)  Extinguishers, types and usage.
   b)  Fire Blankets.
   c)  When and how to fight a fire.
   d)  Door opening procedure.
   e)  Identifying fire hazards.
 4. Outdoor practical session - student use of fire extinguishers.

Certification
A certificate of attendance will be awarded.
