Flexitec - Automatic Fire Suppression System

We manufacture Flexitec Automatic Fire Extinguisher Units which are available in three extinguishing mediums – ABC Dry Powder, AFFF Foam or HFC227ea (FM200) liquefied gaseous extinguishant - in sizes ranging from 1kg up to 6kg. Each unit comprises of a CE marked canister with a brass valve assembly fitted with a full / empty pressure indicating gauge. The discharge outlet connects to the fire detection / discharge tube .

Standard units are supplied with 4 metres of pressurised detection tubing. In the event of a fire the tube will rupture at the hot spot and discharge the extinguisher contents directly on to the source of the fire. They will also operate automatically when the temperature reaches 165 Deg C.

Once correctly installed they will provide constant automatic protection and require minimal maintenance.

An optional pressure switch can be fitted to the unit and will provide an optional facility to sound alarms/shut down machinery, etc.

Each automatic extinguisher is supplied complete with a robust mounting bracket which will provide anti vibration security in most applications. Mounting and maintenance instructions are included.

Flexitec Automatic Fire Extinguishers can protect against fire in, electrical cabinets, vehicles, manufacturing equipment, buildings, marine craft, in fact a solution for protecting any critical equipment and enclosures.

As a general rule of thumb, 1kg of either extinguishant will protect 1 cubic metre but in well sealed enclosures this may be extended by 50%.

As with all fire extinguishers ,we recommend that each Flexitec unit should be maintained on an annual basis by a qualified BAFE registered Service Technician.
